Clinical Trials Software Released
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 11 (medianowonline)- Phoenix Software International today announced a major new release of their electronic data capture (EDC) software product for clinical trials, Entrypoint Plus 3.0. This release marks a departure from previous versions of the software that relied on a file-server architecture. Entrypoint Plus 3.0 is based on a client-server design that communicates over TCP/IP. A relational (SQL) database, accessed via ODBC, provides data storage. Other important new features include remote data entry, context-sensitive help to the dialog box level, and enhanced security.
"We at Phoenix Software are dedicated to providing the latest EDC innovations to support the vital services our customers deliver. This release is no exception," said John Brayman, head of the Entrypoint Plus development team. "The software was introduced in 1981 and was among the first products available for EDC. Entrypoint Plus is the software of choice for clinical research organizations that have been using EDC since the technology began."
