RMS/DeskTop 3.23 Enters Beta Testing

Mantissa Corporation today announced that the newest release of RMS/DeskTop - version 3.23 - has now entered the beta testing phase, and will be made available to the public November 2009.

RMS/DeskTop 3.23 (DT) is a comprehensive output management and productivity tool for client-server environments which allows the user to view, mine, manage and archive mainframe reports locally, at the PC level. Deployed in conjunction with other components of Mantissa’s Report Management System (RMS) series, such as RMS/Online and RMS/Spool, DeskTop provides the definitive solution for managing enterprise information and maximizing business intelligence.

Features include:

Fine-grained, cross-report search and data-filtering capabilities
The ability to view and search multiple open reports simultaneously through content-linked, size-adjustable panel views
The ability to view mainframe reports securely, across the Internet
Forms overlay, a feature which allows you to print data into your own customized report format, using standard-size paper instead of expensive report-oriented stationery
User-defined highlights and sticky-note annotations which can be saved, printed and toggled on and off within the screen-view
The ability to export tables to over 15 file types, including all of those most commonly employed by standard office software applications
Extensive data-mining capabilities for comparative analysis
CD/ROM production as well as distribution
Security, auditability, affordability, reliability, flexibility and ease of use make RMS/DeskTop the leading choice for enterprise solutions.

New features incorporated into DeskTop 3.23 include:

Mainframe data-mining tasks can now be executed right from the desktop.
Task definitions can be defined in each report series.
Userlists and grouplists are now sorted automatically whenever a report access record is edited.
All issues addressed and resolved since the last release have now been integrated into RMS/DeskTop 3.23 source code.
