Ease Software's SATA-on-AIX Replaces SCSI, SAS Drives

AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 30, 2007 -- What if there were SATA
hardware and software that worked seamlessly with IBM's
Virtual I/O system on System p(TM) and RS/6000 systems
running AIX(R)? As it turns out, there is: Ease Software,
Inc.'s SATA-on-AIX drives.
What's more, SATA-on-AIX eliminates the need for SCSI or SAS
drives - at a cost five to ten times lower than either one.

Most IBM users would agree a SCSI or SAS drive is the
logical way to manage LPARs and their myriad disks. And
IBM's Virtual I/O server allows those partitions to operate
smoothly with limited hardware. But when a naked
300-gigabyte SAS drive costs nearly $2,000, and a
300-gigabyte SCSI drive costs roughly half that, neither
option is affordable for small and mid-sized enterprises.

A 300-gigabyte SATA-on-AIX drive, in contrast, is just $200.

But what about performance? SATA-on-AIX shines there, too,
with 250 megabytes-per-second actual transfer rates per
four-channel SATA port. The drives are hot swappable and
provide up to 15 terabytes per host bus adapter.

SATA-on-AIX is also an attractive option to Internet service
providers (ISPs) whose customers want machines of their own.
More stable - and more easily serviced - than Linux, a
single AIX P5 platform can hold several customer "machines,"
and the LPAR/SATA-on-AIX combination makes it affordable.

"Because a SATA drive costs 80 to 90 percent less than a
SCSI or SAS drive, other options become possible to small
and mid-sized organizations," explained Perry Smith, Ease
Software president. "For instance, backups. Backups often
get neglected, but everyone knows they're absolutely
necessary. With disks as inexpensive as ours, customers can
afford to have their disk systems 'mirrored.' In that case,
they get the functionality and performance of RAID 5 without
the read, with double the bandwidth, but at just $2 per gig.
Things like that become viable options when clients are able
to save such a significant amount of money on their LPAR
solutions." (ERN)

About Ease Software, Inc.

Based in Austin, Texas and founded by IBM veterans who
worked on RS/6000 from its inception in 1988, Ease Software
has been a leader in AIX consulting for over ten years. The
company has been a direct IBM vendor, providing consulting
services to IBM, as well as to private businesses and
government entities, since 1995. To learn more, visit http://www.easesoftware.com.

Is Your Computer Safe?

Identity Theft Prevention Software - 'Identity Finder' - Launches Version 3.0

NEW YORK, Oct. 19, 2007 - Personal information leakage from computers is at an all-time high. Recently the Associated Press covered stories ranging from SSNs being stolen via commonly used consumer file sharing networks to TJX spending tens of millions of dollars to investigate and compensate potential victims after a security breach of over 45 million credit and debit cards. Internet security experts say that one billion searches are conducted daily over peer-to-peer networks and that many involve terms that appear to be attempts by would-be thieves to dig up people's sensitive documents and personal information.

We know that over $100 billion in identity theft has been reported by consumers and businesses over the past two years. We also know that many more thefts go unreported and that someone becomes a victim of identity theft every two seconds in America.

Individuals and corporations have assumed they were protected against electronic identity fraud because they installed anti-virus or anti-spyware software on their computers. They learned a hard lesson when they realized that was not the case. The problem is that personally identifiable information resides unprotected on computers and people don't realize they're not doing enough to protect it. If they're not protecting their most sensitive information, it is left vulnerable to future exposure.

Velosecure has just released a major upgrade of its software to solve these problems and prevent identity theft, Identity Finder 3.0 (Home Edition now $24.95 - was $39.95; Business Edition $39.95). The new version includes all the features of prior releases - such as the ability to automatically search for social security numbers, credit card numbers, and other confidential information inside documents, spreadsheets, e-mails, web browsers, and hidden areas of computers. It then helps individuals securely delete the data or protect the information with encryption. Identity Finder 3.0 adds the ability to:
-- Quarantine files by securely moving them to safe locations
-- Search for worldwide personal information commonly used in
Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom
-- Store passwords safely using an encrypted password manager
-- Search for your own patterns of data using Regular Expressions
-- Connect to computers remotely and automatically search across
your network

PC Magazine reviewed an earlier version and said, " ... [an identity] thief has all the time in the world to sift through your personal Information. Velosecure's Identity Finder heads off this potential disaster by finding all that sensitive information before the bad guys do and either securely deleting it or encrypting it."

PC World said, "Velosecure's well-designed ... software locates sensitive information on your PC and either deletes it or shields it from data-stealing malware and laptop thieves ... the results may surprise you ... it can dig deep into saved browser passwords, which neither Google Desktop nor the native Windows search can."

Todd Feinman, CEO, is available to discuss their unique new software and this growing problem in general. Review copies of Identity Finder are available upon request.

About:

Identity Finder is a division of Velosecure LLC, a leading niche innovator of security and privacy technologies. Founded in 2001 and headquartered in New York City, the company specializes in developing software solutions that meet business and consumer needs. Best known for Identity Finder and Velosecure CAM, the company's technologies have been used by over 3,000 organizations in more than 40 countries. The management team is a thought leader in the industry. They are well-published and have consulted with hundreds of clients to help manage their information technology risks. (ERN)

iSCSI SAN Boot Solution for Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 and Microsoft Windows Server 2008

winBoot/i v2.1 Delivers Key New Functionality, Including Windows Crash Dump and Volume Shadow Copy Services (VSS) Support in Its SAN Boot Solution for Standard Network Interface Cards

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario, Oct. 17, 2007 (medianowonline)- emBoot Inc., an industry pioneer in delivering network boot capabilities, today announced the general availability of winBoot/i v2.1, an important update to its next-generation iSCSI boot solution for Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 and the forthcoming Microsoft Windows Server 2008. winBoot/i provides a centrally managed SAN Boot solution using standard Ethernet network adapters that allows customers to accelerate server deployment and repurposing, reduce lifecycle operating costs, reduce power and cooling requirements, improve system resiliency and availability and implement more robust disaster recovery solutions.

New functionality in winBoot/i v2.1 includes:
-- Support for Microsoft's Volume Shadow Copy Services (VSS). Utilizing Microsoft's VSS, issues related to open-files while copying boot images are eliminated.

-- Implementation of support for Windows crash dump diagnostics, providing the ability to write crash dump results directly to iSCSI storage. In addition to providing critical support for problem resolution, support for crash dump is a requirement for qualification under Microsoft's Windows logo certification programs.

-- The ability to directly install Windows Server 2008 from DVD to iSCSI storage. With this capability local storage is not required to generate iSCSI boot images - they can be generated directly on iSCSI storage during the Windows Server 2008 installation process.
"Microsoft is committed to working with industry partners to make enterprise-class storage technologies accessible and cost-effective for customers of all sizes," said Bala Kasiviswanathan, director of branch and storage solutions at Microsoft Corp. "We are pleased to work with emBoot to help drive the adoption of iSCSI and reduce the cost and complexity of storage for our customers."

"The release of winBoot/i v2.1 further demonstrates our commitment to delivering an iSCSI boot solution optimized for the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 and 2008 platforms," said George Kostiuk, CEO of emBoot Inc. "With this release we are delivering important new functionality critical to deploying enterprise-class iSCSI boot solutions for the Microsoft-based platform."

About winBoot/i

winBoot/i utilizes Microsoft's iSCSI software-enabled SAN boot architecture to allow the booting of any Windows Server 2003 R2 or Windows Server 2008 using existing low-cost Ethernet adapters versus substantially more expensive host bus adapters (HBAs). With winBoot/i, customers can quickly and easily create, deploy, and centrally manage a SAN Boot environment to reduce costs, accelerate initial deployments and upgrades, and improve system availability. winBoot/i is available today from a growing worldwide network of partners including Integrators, Distributors, OEMs, and iSCSI storage vendors. RPX Introduces the World to BCP2.0

RecoveryPlanner.com Version RPX Introduces the World to BCP2.0

New software eliminates 70% of the work associated with disaster recovery planning.
SHELTON, Conn., Oct. 16, 2007 -- After pre-release showings at Disaster Recovery Journal's fall show last month, John Grant, VP of Enterprise Sales for RecoveryPlanner.com, welcomed everyone to the unveiling of BCP2.0 with RecoveryPlanners.com's new RPX at the companies headquarters.

"In the past 5 years we've worked with thousands of users to understand the challenges of effective Disaster Recovery or Business Continuity Planning within their organizations," says Mr. Grant. "The problem most organizations face is keeping their information current. With the introduction of BCP2.0, RPX eliminates this problem by using Web 2.0 technologies to integrate into the business platforms used today. This approach eliminates up to 70% of the work that most organizations associate with keeping their plans current."

RPX moves away from the document-focused models of the past that left the BCP process as a secondary and burdensome chore. "With our proprietary BCP2.0 model we have created a platform that organizations can integrate with their current infrastructures and processes," says Chett Rubenstein, CTO of RecoveryPlanner.com. "Only by 'ditching the doc' were we free to look at the problem in a completely new way. By replacing the idea of a periodically updated document with a functional, real-time application we have been able to truly change the game. In making this philosophical change we see clients eliminating significant work that really wasn't improving their ability to recover or even manage the process. With RPX they can have a far more functional solution," adds Mr. Rubenstein.

"While the work reduction to support planning is a huge win, the bigger victory is that it will actually be functional," said Bill Lanzoni, Certified Continuity Manager and executive with RecoveryPlanner.com client CAPS Business Recovery. "As a former CIO I look at the practical side of this. Think of stale phone numbers at the point of a disaster and realize that someone could die because you were calling the wrong number. The benefits of RecoveryPlanner.com's BCP2.0 strategy are going to change the industry and save lives."

RPX BCP2.0 supports integrations such as:
-- Corporate Directories - many corporations use Microsoft Active Directory, Novell eDirectory or OpenLDAP. These directories can be synchronized into RPX allowing users to keep their own information current.

-- HR Management Systems - systems such as PeopleSoft, Oracle HR or Orange HRMS can be integrated with RPX to empower existing HR strategies to keep DR/BCP information current including contact information, position, manager or other critical information.

-- Asset Management Systems - can be integrated into RPX to allow all critical assets to be populated in the application to facilitate adding them to their respective recovery strategies.

Linspire 6.0 Desktop Linux Operating System Released

Commercial Offering Builds on Popular Ubuntu Distribution, Adding New CNR
Service, Proprietary Software, Drivers, Codecs, and is First Release to
Include Microsoft Technology

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 10 (medianowonline)-Linspire, Inc., developer of the
Linspire commercial and Freespire community desktop Linux operating systems
and CNR.com, a free Linux software delivery service, today announced the
immediate availability of Linspire 6.0, the latest commercial release of
the desktop Linux operating system. Building on the best of open source
software using Ubuntu as its base line, Linspire 6.0 adds licensed
proprietary drivers, codecs, and software in its core distribution to
provide a better user experience.

The first commercial release from Linspire, Inc. in over two years,
Linspire 6.0 continues its traditional focus on ease-of-use and bundles
proprietary software where there are no viable open source alternatives,
providing improved hardware, file type, and multimedia support, such as
MP3, Real, Java, Flash, ATI, nVidia, WiFi, and many more. Linspire 6.0 is
also the first commercial release to incorporate several technologies from
Microsoft including Windows Media, True Type Fonts, as well as Open XML
translators that allow OpenOffice to open and edit Microsoft Word .docx
formatted documents.

"Today we continue the Linspire tradition by offering the choice of a
better overall experience for users new to desktop Linux," said Larry
Kettler, President and CEO of Linspire, Inc. "Linspire 6.0 further bridges
the gap between open source and commercial software, combining the best
from each into a single easy-to-use, familiar and productive operating
system."

Linspire 6.0 is the first commercial desktop Linux operating system to
bundle the CNR Client (beta), providing one-click access to thousands of
open source and popular commercial applications such as Sun's StarOffice,
Parallels Workstation, Win4Lin, CodeWeaver's Crossover Office,
TransGaming's Cedega, commercial games and many more.

"If you are genuinely interested in finding an OS alternative, Linspire
6.0 will show you how far desktop Linux has come" continued Kettler. "We
have put everything into this latest commercial release to make it our most
complete offering to date."
Linspire 6.0 begins with Ubuntu (Version 7.04) as its base line and
then adds software from six broad categories, further expanding Linspire's
capabilities:
CNR Client (beta) provides free one-click access to thousands of open
source applications, as well as commercial software such as Sun's
StarOffice, Parallels Workstation, Win4Lin, CodeWeaver's Crossover Office,
TransGaming's Cedega, commercial games and many more. Linspire 6.0 users
will be able to automatically update the CNR Client when future versions
are released.

KDE is added for an easier-to-use and more comfortable interface, with
a more familiar look and feel for Apple Mac and Microsoft Windows users.
Enhanced applications and features are added for superior usability and
ease of use, modifying software applications such as Firefox and
Thunderbird, and along with the inclusion of Linspire-sponsored open source
software like Lsongs and Lphoto.
Proprietary software is added when necessary, such as Java, Flash, and
Adobe Acrobat, in order to provide overall increased interoperability and
enhanced user experience.
Proprietary codecs are added to expand multimedia compatibility and
provide a superior overall computing experience so users can listen to MP3
files, play Windows Media files and much more.
Proprietary drivers are added to expand hardware compatibility and
provide optimum 3D graphic card support, better WiFi support and more.

Version 6.0 is also the first commercial offering from Linspire to
provide customers with Microsoft patent covenants. In June of 2007,
Linspire and Microsoft entered into a broad interoperability and technical
collaboration agreement to facilitate interoperability between Windows and
Linspire, which included intellectual property assurances. The agreement
promotes customer choice and strengthens the bridge between the
Microsoft(R) Windows(R) and Linux operating systems.(PRN)

New Email Management for Microsoft Exchange Server 2007

New E-mail Management Capabilities for Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Help
Users To Quickly, Transparently Manage Email, Address Legal and Compliance
Risks

ARMA 2007, BALTIMORE, Oct. 9 (medianowonline) - Open Text(TM)
(NASDAQ: OTEX, TSX: OTC), the largest independent provider of Enterprise
Content Management (ECM) software and solutions, today released its newest
email management application which provides advanced features for Microsoft
Exchange Server 2007. The latest version of Livelink ECM - Email Management
lets customers more easily deploy and manage email with Microsoft's newest
release of Exchange Server, providing comprehensive capabilities that can
improve information governance and mitigate the legal and regulatory risks
posed by email.

A key feature of the new release is tight integration with Exchange
Server 2007's managed folders functionality, which lets users organize
messages into customized Microsoft Office Outlook folders for individual
departments, users or functions based on corporate policy requirements.
Open Text's email management application enhances the Exchange Server 2007
environment by enabling organizations to apply their centralized records
management policies through these managed folders transparently. With this
application, each message automatically inherits the centralized record
classification assigned to a folder when users drag and drop emails into
that folder. Based on the classification, the message is assigned an
appropriate retention and disposition lifecycle.

"For us, user adoption and ease of use, not to mention ease of
deployment, were top considerations when looking at email management
solutions," said Greg Brown, Senior Project Manager, Records Information
Management, Halliburton Legal. "We liked Open Text's solution because users
could still work 100 percent in the Microsoft interface and very little was
required of them to maintain our records policies. Employees get a system
that helps them be productive, while we get a comprehensive system that can
uniformly apply records policies to email in order to meet legal and
regulatory requirements."

Key capabilities of Livelink ECM - Email Management for Exchange
Server 2007 include:

- Industry-leading records management to provide a structured approach
to determining how long emails are kept, defining and enforcing the
process by which they are archived, and ensuring their eventual
destruction.

- Automatic or interactive archiving. Emails can be easily dragged and
dropped in the archive by users or the system can automatically scan
email folders and apply pre-configured archiving and records
management rules.

- Audit trails to define the history of activities associated with
emails considered important business records. With a single click,
users can review details such as when and by whom an email was
deleted.

- Comprehensive search capabilities so that administrators, reviewers
and auditors can quickly and easily access archived emails. Emails
are exposed to enterprise search capabilities, so that companies can
make full use of email in content across the enterprise.

- Transparent archiving that lets users access and work with archived
emails, just as they do with emails on the email server. Archived
emails can be retrieved with single-click access from the archive and
users can edit, forward or move emails as needed.

- The ability to easily offload email content to more cost-effective
storage media, so that customers can improve the performance of their
email systems and reduce storage costs.

- Can be deployed quickly and easily without installations on the
Exchange Server or individual desktops or laptops.
"Few things scare a CIO more than email - it's ubiquitous in the
enterprise, proliferates at a fast pace and is fraught with legal and
compliance risks," said Peter Lipps, Vice President & General Manager,
Enterprise Records Management Business, at Open Text. "We continue to
introduce leading email management applications to give customers an easier
way to bring email under control, manage it consistently alongside other
important records, and minimize the cost and complexity of archiving and
storage."

Industry's First Consolidated Enterprise Archive for Mailbox Management

Autonomy ZANTAZ Delivers Industry's First Consolidated Enterprise Archive for Mailbox Management, Compliance and Electronic Discovery

New Release of Enterprise Archive Solution Brings Unprecedented Automation
and Intelligence to Archiving Software

CAMBRIDGE, England and PLEASANTON, California, October 9 (medianowonline)- ZANTAZ, an Autonomy company (LSE: AU. and LSE: AU.L) and the leader in the archiving, eDiscovery and Proactive Information Risk Management (IRM) markets, today introduced the newest release of its industry-leading Enterprise Archive Solution version 6 (EAS 6), which is now powered by Autonomy's award-winning Intelligent Data Operating Layer (IDOL). The archive software is the first of its kind to provide a single platform that enables intelligent information processing across both an
enterprise's operational systems and archived data. EAS 6 gives companies
the first and only consolidated archive for all information sources in more
than 1,000 different data formats, including voice and videos, and across
100 languages stored in more than 400 different content repositories,
including business applications such as SAP and Oracle. Highly scalable and
secure, EAS has the ability to process data from tens of thousands of users
across locations worldwide.

EAS 6 extends its market-renowned mailbox management capabilities by
introducing new functionality including support for Microsoft 2007
technology and IBM Lotus Notes/Domino. In addition, this latest release
significantly enhances storage optimization with advanced de-duplication
and near-duplication capabilities, eliminating long-term retention of
inconsequential information.

The EAS solution has helped hundreds of global companies to effectively
comply with government regulations, such as the Federal Rules of Civil
Procedure, which dictates that all "electronically stored information" must
be discoverable. These regulations have placed increasing pressure on
companies to implement an effective archive solution that can be searchable
across all information, not just email. EAS 6 provides real-time
classification of corporate information, enabling the ability to set
automatic legal holds on digital information. As a result, companies can
apply the most appropriate rules for proactive prevention of information
risk, and be confident in their level of preparedness in the event of
litigation. In addition, retention periods no longer need to be set by
arbitrary time periods, allowing judicious, well-informed decisions to be
made based on the substance of the content.

Real-time policy management capabilities enable organizations to
effectively meet industry regulations' compliance by automating the
creation of corporate policies for information retention and disposition.
This provides tight control over the management of data, allowing companies
to dictate exactly what information is archived, where it is stored and for
how long it is retained before disposition.

"Organizations are looking for solutions that help them understand the
corporate value and legal significance hidden within their information, and
facilitate the seamless processing of this content from initial search and
collection all the way to eventual trial presentation," said Laura DuBois,
senior research analyst, IDC. "The combination of EAS and IDOL aligns the
e-Discovery workflow with actual user requirements across both operational
and archived content, ultimately making it faster, easier and less costly
for law firms and corporate counsel to identify and produce relevant
content."

EAS 6 delivers unprecedented intelligence to the archive software
through IDOL's ability to automatically understand the meaning of
information and its relationships. Advanced conceptual search capabilities,
including dynamic hyper-linking and categorization, as well as
visualization tools enable organizations to gain more business insights
from their information stored in both operational systems and archives.
Users are also able to quickly and easily identify relevant content, spot
unforeseen patterns, and establish connections among seemingly disparate
documents and files.

"We accelerated the delivery of EAS 6 powered by IDOL in response to
enormous demands from customers who are seeking a scalable, consolidated
archive to manage and analyze all of their corporate information," said
Steve King, CEO of Autonomy ZANTAZ. "IT can better serve Corporate
Compliance and Legal professionals with the software's rich and intelligent
analytic capabilities, which bring an unprecedented level of accuracy and
efficiency from both archived and operational systems."

Rosetta Stone Software

Chitimacha Tribe to Develop Rosetta Stone Software

ARLINGTON, Va., Oct. 4 - Rosetta Stone Inc., creator of the world's No. 1 language-learning program, has formed a partnership with the Chitimacha Tribe of Louisiana to develop a unique edition of the award-winning software in the tribe's language, Sitimaxa.

The tribe will own distribution and sales rights to the tribal language version created through the Rosetta Stone Endangered Language Program, which has developed culturally relevant language-learning software with the Mohawk of Kahnawake, NANA Regional Corporation of Alaska, and other indigenous communities.

Through its new corporate grant program, the global language-learning software company will underwrite a substantial portion of development costs for the Sitimaxa software. Rosetta Stone has pledged to underwrite at least one project per year with endangered language speaking communities interested in developing editions of the cutting-edge immersion learning software.

"Our hope is that Sitimaxa Rosetta Stone(R) software will be a tool that will make a difference in the vitality of the language of the Chitimacha Tribe," said Marion Bittinger, manager of the Endangered Language Program. "We look forward to working with the tribe to help realize their vision for a living and growing language."

On Louisiana's coast, the Chitimacha tribe endured for century after century -. surviving war, settlement and assimilation. This same determination to survive has allowed the Chitimacha to revitalize their language, which they almost lost.

"Language is really the heart of who you are. It's not just about learning the words; it's about learning your past. It's that connection," said Kimberly S. Walden, M.Ed., cultural director of the 1,000 member tribe.

The native tongue of the Chitimacha people almost disappeared when its last fluent speaker died in 1934 and its last semi-fluent speaker died in 1940. One generation, then another, grew up knowing no more than a few words of the rich language of their ancestors.

Then in 1986, the Library of Congress mailed the tribe copies of wax cylinder recordings made in the 1930s by Swedish linguist Morris Swadesh. Tribal members listened to over 200 hours of their language .- sounds no one had heard in decades, a cultural treasure buried in archives for half a lifetime. The Chitimacha began rebuilding these fragments back into a fluently spoken language. They recovered field notes made by Swadesh and his wife to help decode what was recorded.

"The recordings were very hard to understand, especially if you'd never heard the language spoken before," Walden said. "You have to realize that, as long as I was growing up, all we had in Sitimaxa was a few words on a museum brochure that no one could pronounce."

In 1995, the Chitimacha tribe established a cultural department. Employees asked archeological contractors in Louisiana if they knew of anyone familiar with the Chitimacha's language .- a long-shot request that, improbably, paid off. Contractors suggested the tribe contact Dr. Julian Granberry, a linguist and anthropologist living in Florida who had worked with Swadesh as a high school sophomore.

Granberry, now 80, had studied their language for decades, but had never visited the reservation. The tribe invited Granberry to share his findings. "When Dr. Granberry spoke Sitimaxa to a group of Chitimacha elders assembled at a meeting, some of the elders began to cry," said Walden. "Words started coming back. They remembered."

With Granberry's help, the Chitimacha tackled the Sitimaxa challenge, using the returned resources to develop dictionaries, curriculum, primers and recordings. The tribe now offers Sitimaxa classes for students as young as six weeks old at its child development center. Students in kindergarten through the eighth grade learn the language at the Chitimacha Tribal School, and adults in night classes.

Rachel Vilcan was one of the first students in the adult class. Now she's an aide in the K-8 Sitimaxa program. "The language sounds natural; it sounds like it fits me, like it fits the area," Vilcan said. "It was scary, at first, to be learning it as an adult, but the desire to learn was stronger. It's our identity."

Like other tribes working to bring tribal language back into daily use, the Chitimacha's goal is to develop conversational fluency. "We want to bring the language back to the point where we can use it conversationally when we gather as a tribe," said Walden.

Through its immersion-based software that can be customized to reflect unique linguistic and cultural features, Rosetta Stone will help the tribe solve this problem. The tribe will work with Rosetta Stone to translate and record lessons in Sitimaxa. The paired audio recordings of tribal speakers and images from the community will teach this endangered language in culturally relevant context using the company's award-winning Dynamic Immersion(TM) methodology.

"I think the chances are very great that they will succeed," Granberry said. "There has been for the last decade a strong interest on the part of a large number of the tribal members."

Ilse Ackerman, editor-in-chief at Rosetta Stone, said this language teaching tool multiplies existing efforts. "If you have a small number of fluent speakers, student time with these teachers is valuable and limited. The software can give students access to their teaching around the clock, allowing communities to save valuable face-to-face instruction time for conversational practice," said Ackerman.

The Chitimacha Tribe will use the immersion-based software to enhance ongoing education programs for children and adults. Tribal members as far away as Guam and Germany will be able to learn Sitimaxa using CDs or through online access when the project finishes.

Communities interested in learning more about the Rosetta Stone Endangered Language Program should visit the program's Web site, at: http://www.rosettastone.com/global/endangered, or call 1-800-788-0822, ext. 5331.
